About the Position

We are recruiting for an Assistant Manager to join a prestigious luxury watch boutique in London. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced luxury retail professional with strong leadership ability, commercial awareness, and a genuine passion for high-end watches and client experience.

In this role, you will support the Boutique Manager in driving sales performance, developing the team, and maintaining the highest standards across the boutique. You will lead by example on the shop floor, delivering a polished and personalised service to clients while supporting the day-to-day running of the business.

The successful candidate will be confident working with High Net Worth clients, collectors, and discerning luxury customers, using their product knowledge and relationship-building skills to create a memorable and trusted client experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Boutique Manager with the daily running and overall performance of the boutique.
  • Lead by example on the shop floor, delivering an exceptional luxury client experience.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, including High Net Worth individuals and watch collectors.
  • Support the team in achieving individual and boutique sales targets.
  • Coach, motivate, and develop Sales Consultants to improve performance and client service standards.
  • Provide knowledgeable guidance across luxury watches, including materials, movements, complications, craftsmanship, and care.
  • Handle client enquiries, objections, aftercare needs, and special requests with professionalism and discretion.
  • Drive clienteling activity, appointments, follow-ups, and repeat business.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell in a natural and client-appropriate way.
  • Support stock management, visual merchandising, product presentation, and boutique standards.
  • Assist with reporting, sales analysis, operational tasks, and daily administration.
  • Support in-store events, private appointments, product launches, and promotional activity.
  • Act as a key point of contact in the Boutique Manager’s absence.
  • Promote a positive, professional, and high-performing team culture.


About the Candidate

  • Previous experience in luxury retail management, assistant management, or senior sales within watches, fine jewellery, or high-value retail.
  • Strong knowledge or genuine interest in luxury watches, horology, craftsmanship, and client storytelling.
  • Proven ability to drive sales and support commercial performance.
  • Confident leading, coaching, and motivating a team.
  • Experience working with luxury clients, including High Net Worth individuals and collectors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Polished, professional, and well-presented.
  • Commercially focused with a target-driven mindset.
  • Strong attention to detail and high standards of boutique presentation.
  • Organised, proactive, and confident managing daily operations.
  • Flexible to work retail hours, including weekends where required.
