About the Position
We are recruiting for an experienced Store Manager to lead a luxury fine jewellery boutique in West Thurrock, Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and commercially driven retail leader with a strong background in luxury, fine jewellery, or premium client-facing sales.
As Store Manager, you will be responsible for leading the boutique team, driving sales performance, and ensuring every client receives a warm, polished, and memorable experience. You will set the standard on the shop floor, supporting the team with clienteling, product knowledge, and consultative selling, while maintaining the high standards expected within a luxury jewellery environment.
This role would suit a hands-on manager who enjoys developing people, building long-term client relationships, and working with beautifully crafted fine jewellery pieces in a results-focused setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and develop the boutique team to deliver excellent client service and strong sales results.
- Drive individual and team performance against sales targets and KPIs.
- Create a welcoming, polished, and client-focused boutique environment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and returning clients, including High Net Worth individuals.
- Support the team in delivering a consultative sales experience across fine jewellery, diamonds, gemstones, and special occasion pieces.
- Coach team members on product knowledge, clienteling, storytelling, and sales technique.
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, stock management, reporting, and administration.
- Maintain excellent standards of visual merchandising, product presentation, and boutique organisation.
- Handle client enquiries, special requests, escalations, and aftercare with professionalism and discretion.
- Identify opportunities to grow client loyalty, repeat business, and appointment-led sales.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing performance management.
- Plan and support in-store events, promotional activity, and clienteling initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, security standards, and operational policies.
- Act as a brand ambassador, representing the boutique with professionalism and integrity.
About the Candidate
- Previous experience as a Store Manager, Boutique Manager, Assistant Manager, or strong senior sales leader within luxury retail, fine jewellery, watches, or a premium retail environment.
- Strong commercial awareness with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Confident leading, coaching, and motivating a client-facing retail team.
- Passion for fine jewellery, diamonds, gemstones, craftsmanship, and luxury service.
- Experience working with luxury clients, including High Net Worth individuals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional, polished, and well-presented.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable managing daily operations, stock, reporting, and team performance.
- Proactive, hands-on, and solutions-focused.
- Flexible to work retail hours, including weekends where required.
